Research OS Support
Find answers about Google Calendar, local data, and access—or contact the project directly.
How can we help?
For a technical problem, include your Research OS version, operating-system version, what you expected to happen, and the steps that reproduce the issue.
Do not email OAuth tokens, passwords, private research records, or complete calendar exports. If an example is necessary, remove sensitive details first.
For privacy or deletion questions, use the same address and put “Privacy” or “Deletion” in the subject line.
Google Calendar and data
How do I connect Google Calendar?
In Research OS, open Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar and choose Connect. Complete authorization in the external browser window and review the permissions shown by Google before approving access.
Why does Research OS request Calendar access?
Calendar access is used to display selected events and provide the bidirectional synchronization you choose to enable. Write access is needed when you ask Research OS to create, update, or delete a Google Calendar event. It is not used for advertising or unrelated profiling.
How do I disconnect my Google account?
Open Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar and choose Disconnect. You can also revoke access at Google Account → Third-party connections. See the data deletion guide for the complete steps.
Where is my Research OS data stored?
The current version stores application data in a local vault on your device. Google Calendar content selected for synchronization and persistent authorization tokens are kept in that local vault. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does disconnecting delete Google Calendar events?
No. Disconnecting stops future synchronization and removes locally stored authorization tokens. Events already stored in Google Calendar remain there until you delete them in Google Calendar.
Can I download Research OS from this website?
Not currently. Research OS is in limited development and this website does not offer a public download or signup. Access information is provided directly to authorized users.
